Guidelines - Summary

The Industry Development program aims to develop the skills of Tasmanian screen practitioners, recognising that highly-skilled and experienced professionals are vital for the long-term growth of the screen industry in Tasmania.

SUMMARY

Market support typically benefits Above-the Line practitioners such as producers, writers and game developers looking to take a slate of a minimum of two projects to markets either nationally or internationally.

As the life-cycle of every project varies, please contact the Industry Development Manager to discuss eligibility.

At a glance:

  • Funding is available to eligible applicants for up to 50 per cent of airfares, accommodation, and entry / registration fees.
  • Per diems of up to $60 per day for interstate travel and $100 per day for international travel where meetings and pitches occur.
  • Annual cap of $2000 per person, per financial year will apply for domestic travel.
  • Annual cap of $5000 per person, per financial year will apply for international travel.
  • Evidence of confirmed meetings arranged with broadcasters, agents, commissioning editors, production companies and distributers will be part of the applicant's assessment. 

Travel for solely networking is not eligible.

Screen Tasmania's Industry Development team reserves the right to vary these Guidelines and the right to set aside some or all of the requirements in exceptional circumstances.
